Furniture Manufacturer

The Furniture, Furnishings and Interiors industry is of significant importance to the UK economy, particularly in the supply of end products for residential and commerical living and work places. This apprenticeship course is designed to give a wide range of skills appropriate to the different occupations in the industry. Each apprentice will take the occupational route that is best suited to the business they work in. This apprenticeship covers the following areas:

General Furniture Manufacturer Modern Furniture Service Repairer
Bed Manufacturer Foam Converter and Cushion Manufacturer
Modern Upholsterer Wood Machinist
Furniture Finisher Furniture CNC Machinist
Furniture Restorer Fitted Furniture Installer

Content:

Duration:

The duration of this apprenticeship is approximately 24 months.

Location and study format:

The course will be held at procat canvey island campus and studied on a day release basis.

Entry requirements:

GCSE English grade 3 (or d). GCSE maths grade 4 (or c).

Level:

The apprenticeship framework is at level 2.

Funding band:

This apprenticeship has a funding cap of £9,000.
