Health & safety training for company employees

PROCAT has a long track record of delivering Health and Safety training and our most frequently offered courses such as IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH General can boast of pass rates well above national average, in fact most of them have a 100% pass rate.

Despite the legislative focus on Health and Safety provisions, statistics from the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) show that;

  • More than 2,500 mesothelioma deaths due to past asbestos exposures occurred in 2015
  • Almost 150 workers were killed at work in 2014/15
  • More than 600,000 injuries occurred at work according to the Labour Force Survey 2014/15
  • In excess of 27 million working days were lost due to work-related illness and workplace injury in 2014/15
  • Costs of around £14 billion occurred due to injuries and ill health from current working conditions in 2014/15

Providing health and safety information and training helps to;

  • Ensure you or your employees are not injured or made ill by the work they do
  • Develop a positive health and safety culture, where safe and healthy working becomes second nature to everyone
  • Find out how you could manage health and safety more effectively
  • Meet your legal duty of care to protect the health and safety of your employees and others
  • Save lives, time and money

Our very effective training;

  • Will contribute towards making your employees competent in health and safety
  • Can help your business avoid the distress that accidents and ill health cause
  • Can help you avoid the financial costs of accidents and occupational ill health

It is important to remember that insurances do not cover all losses. In addition, a lack of adherence to safety processes and accident avoidance techniques can result in damaged products, lost production and demotivated staff.

We offer our courses on regularly scheduled course dates at our Basildon campus, but many of our programmes can also be delivered on-site where you are. And whilst many of our clients come to us to add to their portfolio of existing qualifications, we also offer bespoke training services, providing your staff with the knowledge and skills particular to your situation.
